Tel Aviv – Masada and the Dead Sea - Jerusalem
Meet your tour guide in the morning and drive south to Beersheba for a short visit to the capital of the Negev Desert. Continue to Masada, Israel’s foremost archaeological park. Visit the excavation, Herod’s palaces, bath house and cisterns and take in the stunning view of the Roman camps and Dead Sea. Descend to the lowest place on earth – the Dead Sea to experience the mineral rich black mud and to float in its salty waters. Pass by the oasis of Ein Gedi and continue to Jerusalem. (B)

NOTE: Passports and modest dress required. Tour subject to security clearance.

Jerusalem New City and Bethlehem
Start the day at the Israel Museums Shrine of the Book to see the original Dead Sea Scrolls, then see the miniature model of Jerusalem as it was during the time of King Herod. Explore the quaint village of Ein Karem where people believe John the Baptist was born. Continue onto to Yad Vashem Holocaust Museum before proceeding to Bethlehem (subject to security) to visit the Church of Nativity and Manger Square. (B)

Jerusalem Old City
Enter the Old City and walk through the Armenian and Jewish quarters to the recently excavated and restored Cardo, the Roman road. See the Western Wall, the Kotel, and continue to the Christian quarter.  Walk along the Via Dolorosa and visit the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Continue to the southwest, just outside the Old City, to Mount Zion, with theT traditional tomb of King David and the Room of the Last Supper. Enjoy the spectacular panoramic view of Jerusalem - the holy city for each of the world’s three great religions – Christianity, Judaism and Islam, from atop the Mount of Olives. Visit the Garden of Gethsemane where Judas betrayed Jesus. In the heart of a neighbourhood in downtown Jerusalem, visit Mahane Yehuda to experience the flavours, aromas, colours and the traders’ interaction with the crowds, at the largest open air market in Israel.

Transfer to airport for departure flight. (B)

Modest dress is required for entrance to holy sites - Men: Long Pants. Women: Skirt or long pants and shoulders covered
