This is our ultimate package for those travellers seeking an escape. The majestic Sahara Desert has drawn the curious for millennia, and has never been as accessible as it is today. Retrace the steps of the ancient caravans, experience true Bedouin hospitality, and above all marvel at the clarity of the desert stars during this life-changing eight day experience.


  • Take a 4WD journey to Ouarzazate via Taddert and the 2260m Tiz-in-Tichka Pass through the Atlas Mountain.
  • Explore the ever-changing dunes of Tinfou.
  • Experience the Bedouin life as you bivouac in a nomadic tent under the desert stars at the dunes of Merzouga (Optional. Supplement applies)


Day 1: Marrakech (D)

Upon arrival at Marrakech Menara Airport you will be met by a representative of our local operator and transferred to your hotel where your accommodation is reserved for one night with dinner and breakfast. Remainder of day at leisure to unwind and begin soaking in the exotic atmosphere of Morocco.

Day 2: Marrakech (B L)

Today explore Marrakech, the second oldest imperial city known as the “Pearl of the South” including the Saâdian Tombs, the Koutoubia, Bahia Palace and the Menara Gardens. In the afternoon, visit the souks, walk through winding streets and the Djemaâ El Fna Square, with its many local entertainers creating a vibrant local setting. Return to your hotel for diner and overnight.

An optional Diffa Fantasia Dinner will be served under caïdal tents at the famous ‘Chez Ali’ restaurant while experiencing the fantasia performance with camel and horses shows, folkloric and belly dancers. Return to the hotel for overnight. (supplement applies)

Day 3: Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Boumalne (B D)

Depart by 4WD to Ouarzazate via Taddert and the Atlas Mountain passing en route the Tiz-in-Tichka Pass (2260 m). Continue to Telouat and the superb Kasbah of Ait Ben haddou, a striking example of Southern Moroccan architecture. Continue to Boumalne for overnight.

Day 4: Boumalne - Tineghir – Erfoud (B D)

Depart along the Dades Valley to the Todra Gorge and its impressive bare escarpments and canyons. Continue to Erfoud for overnight.

Optional bivouac in a nomadic tent at the dunes of Merzouga:

The Merzouga Dunes are an impressive, drifting chain of sand dunes that can reach 160m and seem to have escaped from the much larger dune field across the nearby border in Algeria. The Erg Dunes are a magical landscape and offer a scene of constant change as sunlight transforms them from pink to gold to red. Tonight experience a dinner and night under Bedouin tents.

Please note that the desert camp offers simple Bedouin tented accommodation with basic shared facilities. This property has been selected for its location at the foot of the Merzouga Dunes allowing you to appreciate a desert night under the stars.

Day 5: Erfoud - Anilf - Zagora (B D)

Pass the former caravan halt of Rissani and drive through the Saghro Mountains to Anilf and Tazzarine. Visit the ancient library of Tamegroute with its ancient Koranic manuscripts. Overnight in Zagora.

Day 6: Zagora – Ouarzazate (B D)

Explore the dunes of Tinfou and drive to Ouarzazate following one of Morocco's most beautiful roads along the green lush scenery of the Draa Valley.

Day 7: Ouarzazate - Marrakech (B D)

Explore the region of Quarzazate, visiting Tifoultout and Touarirt kasbahs.

Departure to Marrakech where you arrive early evening.

Day 8: Marrakech (B)

Transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
