Day 1: Shanghai
On arrival in Shanghai, you will be met by your local English-speaking guide and transferred by private vehicle to your hotel for an overnight stay. The remainder of the day is at leisure, allowing time to settle in or begin exploring this dynamic city at your own pace.
Day 2: Shanghai (B)
Discover the remarkable blend of old and new that defines Shanghai on a full-day privately guided sightseeing tour. Begin at the exquisite Yu Garden, a masterpiece of classical Chinese landscape design dating back to the Ming Dynasty. Ornamental ponds, elegant pavilions, rockeries and intricate dragon walls create one of China's finest traditional gardens. Continue to The Bund, Shanghai's famous riverside promenade lined with magnificent colonial-era buildings overlooking the futuristic skyline of Pudong. This iconic waterfront perfectly captures the city's unique blend of architectural heritage and modern ambition.
Explore Nanjing Road, China's premier shopping boulevard, where historic department stores, modern boutiques and lively pedestrian streets reflect the city's vibrant commercial spirit.
Travel through the tree-lined avenues of the Former French Concession, one of Shanghai's most charming neighbourhoods. Once the city's French settlement, this elegant district is renowned for its European architecture, stylish cafés, boutique shopping and relaxed atmosphere.
Conclude the day with a visit to Shanghai Tower, China's tallest building. Ride one of the world's fastest elevators to the observation deck, where spectacular panoramic views extend across the sprawling metropolis from more than 540 metres above ground.
Day 3: Shanghai (B)
Travel beyond the city centre to Zhujiajiao Water Town, one of the oldest and best-preserved ancient towns near Shanghai. With a history spanning more than 1,700 years, its graceful stone bridges, narrow canals, traditional courtyard homes and willow-lined waterways offer a glimpse into China's rich past. Optional activities within the water town are available at additional cost.
Return to Shanghai during the afternoon to visit Tianzifang, a vibrant arts precinct created from restored traditional shikumen laneways. Once a residential neighbourhood and factory district, it is now home to artisan workshops, galleries, cafés and boutique stores while retaining its authentic architectural character.

After breakfast, transfer with your private guide and driver to Shanghai Airport for your onward flight. Your arrangements conclude upon arrival at the airport.
