Day 2: Cairo (B)

This morning meet your private Egyptologist guide and embark on a journey through the splendid antiquity of this remarkable land, starting with a trip to the ancient capital of Memphis. Proceed to explore the step pyramid of Sakkara, delving into the construction techniques and architectural aspirations that paved the way for the monuments awaiting you at your next stop - the awe-inspiring Pyramids of Giza. Symbolizing Egypt's timeless allure, these unparalleled tombs render everything else as fleeting and inconsequential. As you gaze upon the enigmatic Sphinx, keep an eye out for the alleged bullet holes, believed to be remnants of Napoleon's soldiers utilizing the monument for target practice.

Day 3: Cairo – Luxor (B)

This morning you will be transferred by private vehicle to Cairo Airport for your flight to Luxor. On arrival transfer by private vehicle to your hotel.

This afternoon visit the Mummification Museum in Luxor where you will learn the ancient rites and rituals of eternal life. Having begun by burying dead in shallow sand graves which naturally mummified remains, the process of preserving bodies for use in the afterlife grew in complexity as Egypt grew in importance and wealth. It was not only the use of their bodies that ancient Egyptians required in the afterlife, however. Mummies’ sarcophagi were sometimes also surrounded by hundreds of tiny dolls called ushabti. These dolls, representatives of officials’ or pharaoh’s servants, were made to answer for the dead and serve them in the afterlife.

Day 4: Luxor (B)

Embark on a journey across the Nile to the illustrious Valley of the Kings, where numerous magnificent tombs lie waiting to be explored, among them the resting places of Ramses II and Tutankhamun. Continue to visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon, named after the Ethiopian king slain by Achilles during the battle of Troy. Afterwards, marvel at the grandeur of the immense temples of Luxor and Karnak, where towering columns serve as silent witnesses to the significant events of antiquity held within their hallowed halls.

Innovative Bonus: Entry into Tutankhamun and Ramses VI included

Day 5: Luxor – Cairo (B)

This morning you will be transferred by private vehicle to Luxor Airport for your flight to Cairo. On arrival you will be transferred to your hotel in the downtown Cairo area.

This afternoon meet your private Egyptologist Guide for a visit to El Moez Le Din Allah Street, one of the oldest streets in Egypt adorned with various monuments, followed by a visit to the historic Khan El Khalili bazaar.
