Day 1: Guangzhou

On arrival in Guangzhou, you will be met by your local English-speaking guide and transferred by private vehicle to your hotel for an overnight stay.
The remainder of the day is at leisure, providing time to settle in before beginning your exploration of Guangzhou.

Day 2: Guangzhou (B)

Today’s private sightseeing tour introduces the highlights of Guangzhou, beginning at Huacheng Square, the city’s impressive central waterfront district surrounded by modern architecture, gardens and cultural attractions. Continue to Haixinsha Island for views across the Pearl River and the striking Guangzhou skyline.
See the exterior of the famous Canton Tower, one of China’s tallest structures, before visiting the Guangzhou Grand Theatre, designed by renowned architect Zaha Hadid and recognised for its distinctive contemporary design.
Continue to the Chen Clan Ancestral Hall, a magnificent example of traditional Guangdong architecture and now home to the Guangdong Museum of Folk Arts and Crafts. Explore Shamian Island, once a major trading port and now known for its elegant colonial-era buildings, tree-lined streets and historic atmosphere.
The day concludes at Beijing Road Pedestrian Street, Guangzhou’s historic commercial centre, where local shops, boutiques and traditional stores showcase the city’s vibrant trading heritage.

Witness Guangzhou illuminated after dark as the city skyline reflects across the Pearl River.

Day 3: Guangzhou (B)

After breakfast, travel to Foshan, a historic city renowned for its traditional crafts, ceramics, martial arts heritage and Lingnan culture.
Visit the Foshan Ancestral Temple, a beautifully preserved complex dating back to the Northern Song Dynasty. The temple showcases traditional architecture and cultural exhibits, including the Confucius Temple, Huang Feihong Memorial Hall and Yewen Pavilion, celebrating Foshan’s connection with martial arts history.
Continue to Nanfeng Kiln, located in Shiwan, one of China’s most famous ceramic-producing areas. Explore this fascinating ceramic district featuring historic kilns, museums, workshops and displays of traditional pottery craftsmanship.
Later visit Lingnan Tiandi, a restored historic neighbourhood in Foshan Old Town. Wander through traditional streets, preserved buildings and cultural sites reflecting the city’s rich heritage and role as an import.

Day 4: Guangzhou (B)

Depending on your flight departure time, there may be an opportunity to explore Guangzhou’s renowned shopping districts and modern malls, such as Taikoo Hui or Guangzhou Tianhecheng Centre. At the appropriate time, transfer by private vehicle to Guangzhou Airport for your onward flight.
