Day 1: Madrid

Welcome to Spain. On arrival at Madrid Airport, you will be met by a representative of our local operator and assisted with your transfer to the hotel where accommodation is reserved for two nights. The remainder of the day is at leisure. Overnight Madrid.

Day 2: Madrid (BD)

After breakfast at the hotel, discover the beauties of the city with a guided city tour. During the tour today you will see the Barrio de la Morería, the Hapsburgs District, Plaza Mayor and Plaza de la Villa; the Madrid of the Bourbons and the complex town planning schemes of Charles III, the Royal Palace, Cibeles and Neptuno Fountains and the Puerta de Alcalá. Discover contemporary Madrid with areas such as Gran Vía, Castellana, the district of Salamanca, as well as the commercial and financial areas of Modern Madrid, and the Santiago Bernabéu Football Stadium. The afternoon is at leisure for you to continue exploring the wonders that the city has to offer. This evening join your fellow travellers for an authentic Welcome Tapas Dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight Madrid.

Day 3: Madrid - Salamanca - Porto (B)

This morning you are bound for Portugal. Drive towards Salamanca where you will have some free time in this University City and World Heritage Site of great architectural and artistic wealth. Continue to the Portuguese border to reach Porto. Located along the Douro River estuary in northern Portugal, Porto is one of the oldest European towns, and proclaimed a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1996. Overnight Porto.

Day 4: Porto (B)

This morning you will discover Porto with a guided sightseeing tour. Admire the Cathedral, the Stock Exchange building and the Santa Clara church. Afterwards, experience a different perspective of the city aboard a Douro River Cruise and discover famous Port Wine Cellars with a wine tasting included. Remainder of the day is at leisure. Overnight Porto.

Day 5: Porto - Coimbra - Fatima (B)

Leave Porto this morning and head for Coimbra, on the banks of the river Mondego. Formerly the country's capital and home to one of the oldest universities in Europe and the birthplace of Fado. There will be free time to explore before continuing to Fatima, centre of the Christian Faith and World Pilgrimage Sanctuary with its impressive Basilica and the Cova da Iria place where the Virgin Mary appeared and the Chapel of the Apparitions, heart of the sanctuary, with the tombs of the three shepherds, Lucia, Francisco and Jacinta. At night, possibility to attend the procession of the candles. Overnight Fatima.

Day 6: Fatima - Batalha - Nazare - Alcobaca - Lisbon (B)

Breakfast at the hotel, then depart to the Batalha Monastery, a masterpiece of Gothic and Manueline style considered a World Heritage place by UNESCO. Continue to the picturesque fishing town of Nazaré. Free time to explore then continue to Alcobaça (World Heritage) with its Gothic church and Cistercian monastery, whose origins date back to the XII C. Continue to Lisbon for a two-night stay.

Day 7: Lisbon (BD)

This morning, join a city sightseeing tour of the ancient Olissipo (Lisbon). Drive through its main squares and avenues. See the Belem Tower, Jeronimos Monastery, Monument to the Discoverers, Marquis of Pombal Square and Liberty Avenue. The afternoon will be at leisure for you to catch the nostalgic corners of Alfama Quarter, the old city gathered next to its Castle, with old buildings nested in narrow twisting “Ruas” full of colour and housing the genuine “tabernas”. This evening, join your fellow travellers for a typical Portuguese dinner visiting one of the oldest Fado venues in the city and located in one of the most interesting cultural neighbourhoods in the area. Overnight Lisbon.

Day 8: Lisbon - Caceres - Cordoba (B)

This morning you will head back to Spain and the Andalusian soils. Drive to Caceres, considered a World Heritage site because of the city’s blend of Roman, Islamic, Northern Gothic and Italian Renaissance architecture. Walk through its Plaza Mayor and the Old Town with its famous Medieval Quarter then continue towards Cordoba, once the capital of the Caliphate. Overnight Cordoba.

Day 9: Cordoba - Seville (B)

After breakfast at the hotel, discover the impressive tour of Cordoba's Mosque (entrance included) and other sites that will ease your mind and spirit as you stroll through the narrow winding streets of the Jewish Quarter. In the afternoon continue your journey to reach Seville where accommodation is reserved for two nights.

Day 10: Seville (B)

This morning you will embark on a city tour of the Andalusian Capital, Seville. Visit the Cathedral (the second largest in the Catholic world after St. Peters in Rome), the Santa Cruz quarter, the natural scenario of “Carmen” as well as the myth of “Don Juan”; Maria Luisa Park and Plaza de España. The afternoon is at leisure for you to discover the city of light. Overnight Seville.

Day 11: Seville - Ronda - Costa Del Sol (B)

Leave Seville this morning after breakfast and drive south passing typical Andalusian villages to reach Ronda. There will be free time in Ronda to admire this town of Celtic origin and the marvellous view of the valley and mountain range. Continue your journey with an authentic Olive Oil Experience at a local Almazara, LA Organic. Walk through their olive tree fields and taste their organic olive oil productions. In the afternoon continue to the Costa del Sol, one of the most modern and important international tourist areas on the Spanish Mediterranean coast, for a two-night stay.

Day 12: Costa Del Sol (B)

Today is a day at leisure for you to enjoy the wonderful beaches of the Costa del Sol and surrounding areas. Overnight Costa Del Sol.

Day 13: Costa Del Sol - Tarifa - Casablanca (BD)

This morning drive along the picturesque tourist route of Costa del Sol, arriving to Tarifa where a ferry boat will be used for a short and interesting crossing of the strait of Gibraltar towards Africa. On arrival in Tangier, disembark, clear customs and drive southwards to Casablanca, the current industrial and economic capital and the most populated city housing a 10% of the country’s population. Time at leisure. Dinner at your hotel this evening. Overnight Casablanca.

Day 14: Casablanca - Marrakech (BD)

Your day starts with a panoramic tour of Casablanca including the most interesting places in the city such as United Nations Square, the Boulevard de la Corniche and the Hassan II Mosque. Upon completion of the panoramic tour you will depart for Marrakech, capital of the South, located within an extensive oasis between the Atlas Mountains and the pre-desertic area. Sightseeing of Marrakech begins in the magnificent Menara Gardens, which has a side pavilion and countless olive trees. Afterwards, visit the outside of the Koutoubia Tower, twin tower of the Giralda in Seville. Once inside the old part of the city, there is a visit to the Bahai Palace, owned by a nobleman from the city. Finally arrive at the magic Jma El Fna Square, one of the most interesting places in Morocco from where you can access the souks and the medina. Guilds of wood, ceramic, furriers or spice artisans will be some of the places that will be visited. Dinner and accommodation at hotel.

Day 15: Marrakech - Rabat - Meknes - Fez (BD)

Breakfast and early departure to Rabat. Visit the capital of the country, Rabat - see the exterior of the Royal Palace, the Mohamed V Mausoleum and the Hassan Tower. Continue to the Imperial City of Meknes, where you will visit the Walls of Bab Al Mansour and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail, the only mosque in all of Morocco where non-Muslims are allowed. Arrive in Fez for a two-night stay. Dinner is included at your hotel this evening.

Day 16: Fez (BD)

Breakfast at the hotel. Depart on a morning city tour of the most ancient and monumental of the Imperial Cities visiting the most interesting points: the 7 gates of the Royal Palace, Jewish Quarters or Mellah, gate of Bab Bou Jelous and walking tour of the “Medina” (Old City), declared a World Heritage Site. The afternoon at leisure. Dinner at your hotel. Overnight Fez.

Day 17: Fez - Tangier - Tarifa - Costa Del Sol (B)

After breakfast at the hotel depart for Tangier. Transfer to the pier to board the ferry to return across the strait of Gibraltar back to Spain. Drive towards the Costa del Sol where accommodation is reserved for two-nights.

Day 18: Costa Del Sol (B)

Day at leisure for you to relax on the wonderful beaches of the Costa del Sol or explore the surrounding areas.

Day 19: Costa Del Sol - Granada (BD)

This morning you will depart to one of Spain's favourite jewels, the city of Granada, with its incredible and breathtaking monumental environment, last stronghold of the Moorish Kingdoms up to 1492. Visit the world-famous Alhambra complex (entrance included) and Generalife Gardens that have inspired several authors with its sound and sights, such as the “Tales of the Alhambra” by W. Irving. Afternoon at leisure. This evening join your fellow travellers to experience an authentic Gypsy Flamenco show including dinner. Overnight Granada.

Day 20: Granada - Toledo - Madrid (B)

Today you will drive northward to the impressive Imperial city of Toledo, where it emerges toward the sky of Castilla and surrounded by the Tagus River. Toledo is a World Heritage City, where the three cultures of Christians, Moorish and Jewish, have lived together for centuries. There will be a guided tour of this historical old town through its narrow streets before continuing to Madrid. Overnight Madrid.

Day 21: Madrid (B)

Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
