Encompassing the bustling capital city of Windhoek, and the laid-back seaside towns of Swakopmund and Walvis Bay, Central Namibia features an array of towns, deserts, and wildlife reserves. The landscape of this region is characterised by grasslands decorated with clusters of Acacia trees, between the Namib Desert to the west and the lush Kalahari to the east.

Day 2: Windhoek – Sossusvlei (BLD)

This morning you will be met in the reception area and transferred to Hosea Kutako International Airport (transfer time approx. 45 minutes). Upon arrival at Hosea Kutako International Airport, proceed through to the check-in counter to board your onward shared charter flight to Sossusvlei for Geluk Airstrip. Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to the lodge. Remainder of the day is at leisure.

Located in the scenic Namib-Naukluft National Park, Sossusvlei is where you will find the iconic red sand dunes of the Namib. The clear blue skies contrast with the giant red dunes to make this one of the most scenic natural wonders of Africa and a photographer's heaven. This awe-inspiring destination is possibly Namibia's premier attraction, with its unique dunes rising to almost 400 metres - making them some of the highest in the world. These iconic dunes come alive in morning and evening light and draw photography enthusiasts from around the globe. Sossusvlei is home to a variety of desert wildlife including oryx, springbok, ostrich and a variety of reptiles.

Upon arrival at Swakopmund Airport you will be met and transferred to The Strand Hotel Swakopmund. The remainder of the day is at leisure. Lunch and dinner are under own arrangements.

Set along Namibia's spectacularly scenic coast, the seaside town of Swakopmund is known for its wide-open avenues, colonial architecture, and its surrounding otherworldly desert terrain. Founded in 1892 as the main harbour for German South-West Africa, Swakopmund is often described as being more German than Germany. Now a seaside resort town, Swakopmund is the capital of the Skeleton Coast tourism area and has plenty to offer. The quirky mix of German and Namibian influences, adventure options, laid-back atmosphere and cool sea breeze make it a very popular Namibian destination.

Day 6: Swakopmund (B)

Your day is at leisure to explore the town of Swakopmund. Lunch and dinner are under own arrangement.

Day 7: Swakopmund - Purros (BLD)

This morning you will be met in the reception area of your hotel and transferred to Swakopmund Airport (transfer time approx. 15minutes). Depart Swakopmund Airport on a shared charter flight to Sanctuary Okahirongo Elephant Lodge (Note there will be a fuel stop en-route between Swakopmund and Purros).

On arrival at the airstrip, a Sanctuary Okahirongo Elephant lodge representative will meet you and transfer you to the lodge. The remainder of the day is at leisure.

Situated in the wild northwestern Kunene region in Namibia, the Purros area, also known as ‘Puros’, features arid semi-desert terrain characterised by a blend of undulating hills, wooded river valleys and vast plains covered in sparse savannah, dotted with acacia and tamarisk trees. This remote area is a 4X4 enthusiast's dream, lying deep in the heart of the Kaokoland wilderness. It is home to an array of unique desert adapted wildlife such as elephant, lion, black rhino and giraffe.

Day 8: Purros (BLD)

Your day is at leisure to experience the game, cultural and nature activities on offer.
At Okahirongo, the highlight of your stay will likely be the twice-daily scenic drives in the early morning and late afternoon, focusing on the famous desert-adapted elephants and vast sand dunes. Alternatively, unwind at the lodge, savouring breathtaking views from your private deck, cooling off under a driftwood pergola after a swim in the pool. Reflect on the rare privilege of being in such a place as you sip sundowners atop a dune, share stories around the fire at the boma, and enjoy leisurely dinners under the starlit sky.

Day 9: Purros – Ongava Private Game Reserve (BLD)

This morning you will be met in the reception area of the lodge and transferred to the airstrip. Depart Okahirongo Elephant Lodge by a shared charter flight to Ongava (Note: there will be a fuel stop en-route).

On arrival at the airstrip, you will be met by a representative of Anderssons at Ongava and transferred to the lodge. Remainder of the day at leisure.

Sharing the southern boundary with Etosha National Park, the prolific 30,000-hectare private Ongava Game Reserve is considered one of the top private game reserves in the region, enjoying global recognition for exceptional conservation, groundbreaking research and exciting safari experiences. The landscape is characterised by vast open plains dotted with salt plans and abundant wildlife. One of Ongava’s top attractions is its rhino population and guests can experience the thrill of getting close to these majestic creatures.

Day 10: Ongava Private Game Reserve (BLD)

Your day is at leisure to experience the activities on offer at Ongava Private Game Reserve.
The rhino is Ongava’s spirit animal, the heraldic creature that symbolises and watches over their mission to conserve and preserve. Rhino were the first species to be relocated to this wilderness when it was transformed from unproductive farmland, and Ongava continue to monitor and safeguard this still-endangered species. But the rhino, at Ongava, is not alone. It keeps company with lion, leopard, elephant, and a wide diversity of other species that were once at home on these plains and are now at home again.
On night drives, guided walks, bush trails, and on-foot encounters, you’ll see for yourself why Ongava is a place of sanctuary for the human heart and soul too.

Day 11: Ongava Private Game Reserve - Windhoek (B)

This morning you will be met in the reception area of the lodge and transferred to the airstrip. Depart Ongava on a shared charter flight to Hosea Kutako International Airport. Upon arrival connect with your onward flight.
