Day 1: Hoi An
On arrival at Danang International Airport, meet your local guide and transfer by private vehicle to your hotel in the enchanting riverside town of Hoi An.
The remainder of the day is at leisure to wander the lantern-lined streets, browse boutique shops, relax at a riverside café or simply soak up the timeless atmosphere of one of Vietnam's most beautifully preserved trading ports.
Day 2: Hoi An (BS)
Step back in time as you explore the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Ancient Town of Hoi An. Stroll through narrow laneways lined with centuries-old merchant houses, colourful temples and traditional shophouses, reflecting the town's unique blend of Vietnamese, Japanese, Chinese and French influences. Visit landmarks including the iconic Japanese Covered Bridge, the Chinese Temple and the historic Tan Ky House.
Hoi An is equally renowned for its outstanding cuisine, and today's guided walking tour introduces many of its signature flavours. Sample the delicate White Rose Dumplings, the famous Vietnamese Banh Mi, traditional Cao Lau noodles and freshly prepared Wontons, before concluding with rich Vietnamese coffee at a charming local café.
The afternoon is free to continue exploring at your own pace or relax beside the Thu Bon River.
Day 3: Hoi An (BL)
Travel by boat along the Thu Bon River to Cua Dai, where local fishing communities have lived for generations. Board a traditional bamboo basket boat (thung chai) and glide through the peaceful waterways of the coconut palm forest, an area inaccessible to larger vessels. Learn the techniques used by local fishermen as you paddle through narrow canals surrounded by lush mangroves, offering a fascinating glimpse into everyday life on the river.
Following your river adventure, visit a local family home where a delicious lunch of regional specialties showcases the fresh produce and seafood that define Central Vietnamese cuisine.
Return to Hoi An with the afternoon at leisure.
Day 4: Hoi An (B)
After breakfast, there is free time before your private transfer to Danang International Airport for your onward flight.
