UAE → OMAN OVERLAND REPATRIATION TRAVEL INFORMATION

UAE to Oman Overland Repatriation Transfer Service
Abu Dhabi / Dubai – Muscat

For travellers seeking greater certainty in their onward travel plans, this option provides a practical solution as Muscat airspace remains open.

Innovative Travel, a Christchurch-based travel company with more than 35 years’ experience in Middle East and Gulf travel, has joined forces with Christchurch/Dubai security and conflict-zone specialists OSACO Group.

Due to the urgent requirements for kiwis to evacuate, Innovative Travel’s Omani and UAE teams, with OASCO Group providing logistics assistance, for overland transfers from the UAE to Muscat from Thursday 12 March.
 
First Scheduled Departure (maybe subject to minimum numbers)
Thursday, 12 March

Pickups will take place in:
•   Abu Dhabi
•   Dubai

From there, passengers will travel by coach to the UAE–Oman border, accompanied by an OSACO representative providing logistical and advisory support.

For security reasons, exact pickup locations will be advised only to confirmed travellers using the service.

Border Crossing Process
1.   Passengers exit the UAE coach at the border.
2.   Pay the UAE exit tax (AED 35) in cash.
3.   Proceed through Omani immigration.

Visa Information
Australian and New Zealand passport holders can obtain an Omani visa on arrival, free of charge for stays of up to two weeks.

Oman Transfer & Muscat Overnight
After clearing immigration:
•   Passengers will be met on the Omani side of the border.
•   Transfer to Muscat by air-conditioned coach.
•   A licensed English-speaking Omani guide will accompany the transfer.

Due to potential border delays, the programme includes:
•   Dinner on arrival
•   Overnight accommodation in Muscat
•   Buffet breakfast

Departure from Muscat
13 March (or your scheduled departure day)
•   Make your way to Muscat International Airport
•   A local representative will assist with airline check-in

Flight Arrangements
It is essential that all travellers must contact your travel agent or airline in advance to reschedule flights with Oman Air. If you do not currently have a travel agent, House of Travel Christchurch City can assist and has direct contact with Oman Air. Refer Megan McCall details below.

Payment
•   Full non-refundable payment is required upon confirmation.

Luggage Allowance
•   30 kg checked luggage per person
•   1 carry-on bag
•   1 handbag or personal item
 

Not Included
•   UAE departure tax UAE Dirhams 35 per person at the border
•   Transfer from Muscat hotel to the airport
•   Any other services not specified
•   Surcharge transfer fee is less than 20 transfer travellers per coach.
 
Special Conditions
• Full payment required upon confirmation
• Payment is 100% non-refundable once paid
• The border may close at any time without prior notice
• Any additional costs incurred due to delays will be the responsibility of the traveller
• If an airline reschedules flights from Oman, any additional accommodation required must be paid directly by passengers to the hotel
• The original travel agent/advisor is responsible for rerouting flights and liaising with Oman Air or any alternative airline
• Pricing may increase if fewer than 20 passengers travel per coach and until final confirmation of all services
• All arrangements, including the Muscat hotel, remain subject to final confirmation and availability

Departure Package Meet & Greet + Lounge + porterage
•   Met by a personal assistant and porter at Muscat International Terminal Departure floor
•   Check in transactions are completed at the business counters by personal assistance
•   Immigration process is completed from a dedicated Fast Track counter
•   Accompany guest to the Prime Class Lounge
•   When boarding commences the personal assistant and porter accompany the guest to the flight gate with buggy cars (if applicable)
