Day 1: Lyon
Passengers are welcome to board the ship at 6:00 p.m. After comfortably settling into your cabin, you will be introduced to the crew at a welcome cocktail. Dinner on board as the ship cruises to Macon. Don't miss Lyon lit up at night as you depart.
Day 2: Mâcon, Beaujolais Vineyards - Lyon
This afternoon, join the proposed excursions for both packages: CLASSIC/DISCOVERY: The Beaujolais vineyards. The Beaujolais wine region is tucked in between Lyon and Burgundy. Wines range from the young Beaujolais Nouveau to high-quality crus. Red wines are made mostly from Gamay grapes that create a vibrant, fruity taste. Light and fresh white wines come predominantly from Chardonnay varieties. After the excursion, return on board the ship to cruise to Lyon in the evening.
Day 3: Lyon - Tain L'Hermitage, Valley Of The Côtes du Rhône
Join the excursions proposed: CLASSIC: Panoramic tour of Lyon where you'll discover its famous "traboules", types of passageways that are typical of the city. DISCOVERY: Food tour of Lyon.
This afternoon cruise towards Tain-l'Hermitage, arriving in the evening.
Day 4: Tain L'Hermitage, Vercors Massif - Avigon
This morning join the proposed excursion for both packages: Discover the Vercors Massif and partake in a tasting of local sparkling wine (Clairette de Die). The Vercors Massif contains impressive sites and breathtaking views. Discover many of these on a trip through its natural park. Peaks, trails, rushing streams, steep cliffs, and rolling mountain pastures await. The Vercors Massif was also a strategic location for the French Resistance during World War II. Visit the quaint town of Die, known for its delicious sparkling wine, and partake in a tasting. After the excursion, return on board the ship and spend the afternoon cruising to Avignon, arriving during the evening.
Day 5: Avignon - Arles
Join the proposed excursion for both packages: Guided tour of Avignon and the Papal Palace. Avignon has had quite a past. The city’s historic center is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage
Site. Included in this area is the Papal Palace, one of the largest and most important Gothic buildings in Europe and the city’s most famous attraction.
Return to the ship and depart for Arles. The afternoon will be dedicated to guided tour of Arles.
Day 6: Arles - The Camargue - Marseille
This morning, join one of the proposed excursions: CLASSIC: Tour the Camargue. You will visit a manade to experience a horse show. DISCOVERY: Safari in the Camargue in a four-wheel-drive vehicle. Set out on an exciting jaunt into the heart of the wild Camargue. Sit back and admire the rivers, marshes, ponds, pink flamencos, black bulls, and the famous, indigenous Camargue horses. Whether on the edge of the sea or inland, each spot is an immersion in the wonders nature has to offer in France. This evening your ship will cruise to Martigues. Tonight there will be a festive gala evening on board.
Day 7: Martigues
