This evening embark on a foodie tour of Hanoi’s Old Quarter which will include several stops for local delicacies including Nom Pho a mushroom and pork roll the Vietnamese institution of Bia Hoi (street-side pub) and finally a rice wine tavern which serves ethnic dishes from the mountains of North Vietnam.

A day to remember today as you are transferred in a private car across the Red River Delta and to the coast. There you will board your wooden junk and set sail for an unforgettable overnight cruise in the stunning landscape of Halong Bay. A fresh seafood lunch will be served aboard as you explore the area with plenty of time for sunbathing and swimming. After watching the sunset you have an option to attend a cooking demonstration before dinner. Overnight in a private cabin with attached bathroom.

An early morning start is recommended to view the sunrise from the deck of the junk. For those who want to try a Tai Chi lesson will be provided while the sun is coming up and is magical way to start the day. Transfer from the junk onto a local rowboat (sampan) to visit one of the last floating villages in the area before returning to the boat for brunch as you make your way back to Hanoi. Upon arrival at Hanoi a transfer will be provided to take you to the airport or the start of your next Vietnam extension.
