The colourful history of Hue Vietnam’s last feudal capital will be unlocked for you today by your guide on a fascinating tour which begins at Tu Duc Tomb. Despite the grandeur of the site Emperor Tu Doc was actually buried in a secret location with the 200 workers who completed the task all beheaded when they were finished meaning the location of the real tomb is still hidden today. After a stop at a local garden house for tea and jam it is on a cycle for a leisurely ride exploring local life in the countryside.
A home cooked lunch will be provided after which you will board a boat for a trip across the Perfume River to the remains of the old royal quarters. Next you will be taken to the gallery of artist Truc Chi before being returned to your hotel for the remainder of the day at leisure.
