Welcome to Dubai. On arrival, please clear customs and immigration. After collecting your luggage, you will be met by a representative of our local agent and then transferred to your tour hotel. Remainder of day at leisure.
Breakfast. A day to explore this unique and spectacular city. Within less than 30 years this city was transformed from a small fishing village by the Dubai creek to one of the most important cities in the Gulf region.
We begin with several photo stops in the modern city: Jumeirah-Mosque, built in medieval Fatimid style, and the Burj Al Arab Hotel in the form of a giant sail. Along Jumeirah road we continue to the artificial island "The Palm" and make a photo stop at the Atlantis Hotel. From Palm Monorail you will have a beautiful view of the island, the coast and the skyline of Dubai. Then explore Dubai's old part "Bastakya" with its traditional houses and wind towers which in the past served as a natural air conditioning. Afterwards visit the Dubai Museum which is located in the historical Al Fahidi fort. We will then cross the Dubai creek to Deira with the traditional water taxi (Abra) and visit the Gold & Spice market.
We continue with a visit to Burj Khalifa, with its 828 meters the tallest building in the world. The tour starts on the ground floor of the Dubai Mall and a multimedia show will keep you entertained all the way to the 124. Floor. Afterwards admire the aquarium in the Dubai Mall and enjoy a show of the Dubai Fountain. From the mall we will take you directly to the Dubai Marina for a romantic dinner-dhow cruise (duration 2 hour, dinner buffet incl. non-alcoholic beverages). Then return to the hotel and overnight.
Morning at leisure or optional excursion to Sharjah:
City tour via Koran square, visit to the Museum of Islamic Art, visit to souk Al Arsah, photo stops at the central souk, the lagoon and the mosque.
Early afternoon you will be taken on a desert safari to the golden dunes. Drive up to one of the highest sand dunes to enjoy the sunset. Later BBQ with oriental dancers, tea and shisha (water pipe) in a bedouin camp. Return to the hotel for overnight.
Note: the safari will take place without a tour guide, just a driver and is not a private tour.
Breakfast and departure to Abu Dhabi (capital city of the emirate of Abu Dhabi and of the United Arab Emirates), to explore one of the most modern cities in the Gulf. Visit the famous Sheikh-Zayed-Mosque, the largest mosque of the UAE, Al Husn Palace and the Heritage Village. Continue along Corniche Road, passing by Emirates Palace Hotel, one of the world’s most luxurious hotels. Then go on a short tour to explore culture and art of the town and Saadyat Island. This is where four famous architects (Frank Gehrz, Jean Nouvel, Tadao Ando und Zaha Hadid) present their designs for the construction of museums (Louvre and Guggenheim). After visiting the exhibition centre and Al Manarat we will take you on a short tour to Yas Island, home of the Formula 1 race track. Return to Dubai and overnight.
Note: for the mosque visit guests must cover arms and legs. Women must wear a headscarf.
Breakfast and departure to Al Ain. Located at the Omani border, Al Ain is the second largest city in the emirate of Abu Dhabi and an UNESCO world heritage site since June 2011. With more than 10000 hectares of parks and greenery, Al Ain is called the 'garden' of the UAE. Enjoy the lively atmosphere of the camel market and then visit the old Al Jahili fort. The museum will give you some insight of the regions past and the local traditions. Afterwards take a walk between the palm trees of the oasis and then visit the former palace of Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founder and first ruler of the UAE.
