Day 1: Dublin
Welcome to Dublin! Pick up your car and head to your castle hotel near Dublin. The remainder of the day can be spent exploring this vibrant and historic capital city with its many historic buildings, Georgian streets and colourful gardens. Your first night is spent in a castle in the Dublin area. Overnight in Co. Dublin.
Day 2: Dublin - Galway (B)
Visit some of Dublin’s cultural attractions. Visit EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum in Dublin which offers an interactive journey through Ireland’s migration story, showcasing how Irish people shaped the world through culture, politics, science, and innovation in amazing digital exhibits. Stop by the 16th Century Trinity College, founded by Elizabeth 1, and now home to the famous illuminated manuscript, the Book of Kells and the magnificent Long Room Library. Don’t forget about the Guinness Storehouse for a tasting of this world famous ‘black stuff”.
In the afternoon, depart for County Galway.
Day 3: Connemara (B)
Explore the wild beauty of Connemara, famous for its rugged mountains, shimmering lakes, and Gaelic-speaking villages. Travel through Clifden and Southern Connemara, where the landscape is dotted with sheep and stone walls. Overnight: County Kerry.
Day 4: Galway - Kerry (via the Cliffs of Moher) (B)
Travel through County Clare’s Burren Region, a geological wonderland known for its unique rock formations and rare plant life. Continue to the spectacular Cliffs of Moher, a dramatic 200-metre wall rising from the Atlantic Ocean. Journey onwards to County Kerry.
Day 5: The Ring of Kerry (B)
Enjoy a tour of the Iveragh Peninsula (Ring of Kerry), celebrated for its breathtaking scenery—mountains, peat bogs, lakes, and sweeping Atlantic views. Pass through picturesque towns such as Killorglin, Glenbeigh, and Cahersiveen, birthplace of national hero Daniel O’Connell.
Overnight: County Kerry
Day 6: Dingle Peninsula (B)
Tour the Dingle Peninsula before arriving in Dunquin, on the westernmost tip of the peninsula, where you can visit the Blasket Islands Heritage Centre. Weather permitting you can embark on a 2-to-3-hour boat trip around the nine main Basket Islands. Return to the hotel for the night. Overnight in Co. Limerick/Clare.
Day 7: Dublin (B)
Return to Dublin for overnight. Free afternoon for last minute sites or shopping.
Day 8: Departure (B)
It’s time to bid farewell – drive to Dublin Airport and return your rental car prior to your onward flight.
