Innovative Travel MD, Robyn Galloway, shares the latest update on operational procedures for Anzac Day 2020 at Gallipoli, the site of NZ’s first major battle of the First World War, which resulted in the loss of more than 2,700 solders.
Director of Heritage, Commemorations and Protocol Group, John McLeod, ONZM, has reconfirmed the Dawn Service will commence at 5.30 am, Lone Pine at 10am and the New Zealand Service at Chunuk Bair at 11.30am.
McLeod says for those wishing to attend the New Zealand service at Chunuk Bair, there will not be sufficient time for them to also attend the Australian service at Lone Pine. As in previous years, there will be significant security screening arrangements at each of the locations. It is critical that all clients who plan to attend pre-register via the website.
Innovative Travel is offering a variety of packages ex Istanbul to attend Anzac Day, which you can view here.
