Career in the Travel Industry
My claim to fame is being Innovative Travel’s 1st employee back in 1991 – I have followed my passion for travel and as a result I have had 18 years with Innovative Travel whilst the remaining years were spent raising our family of 4 kids. Over this time I have see many global events however Innovative Travel has always been able to navigate around these. I love designing holidays as a wholesale consultant where I can regularly include the local knowledge I have accumulated over the years either through famils or my own travel experiences and weave this into a personalised programme for clients. That is the best part of travel – every single day is different and making a difference is important to me.  

Recent most interesting trip
Morocco, Egypt, Jordan and Turkey: These are all my favourite places and it was a fantastic experience travelling with my husband and some of our family. The highlight of Morocco was the overnight desert camp in the Sahara and some stunning scenery through the Atlas Mountains. Jordan is always about the people who are so hospitable to travellers and this never changes. Of course there are so many highlight in Jordan but you can’t go past Petra and Jerash as the standouts. Tukey for me this time was all about the experience at Gallipoli and it certainly was a very memorable visit.

Chris's top destinations
Egypt & Jordan – So much to see and do in Egypt including valley of the Whales, Grand Egyptian Museum and Abu Simbel – Jordan such a small country to get around so no long days on the road. Sightseeing is awesome but the people are the best.
Morocco – A big country to travel around and so allow plenty of time so you do actually have a holiday.

Chris's travel tips
Make sure you have swimwear and a spare change of clothes in your carry on luggage – just in case.
Take time to just be in the destination and make the most of your experience.
