Innovative Travel advise its 24-day hosted Jordan, Holyland and Oberammergau tour is guaranteed to depart, ex Auckland on 08 September 2022.
Hosted by popular tour hosts, Rev Mike and Patsy Hawke, the tour focus is on ancient and biblical sites. Flying from Auckland to Amman, the first night is at the Dead Sea, followed by an exciting Jordan programme including Mt Nebo, Petra, and Wadi Rum, prior to crossing via the southern tourist border to Israel.
From the border, travelling north, Masada and the Dead Sea Scroll's site are included enroute to Jerusalem, where the group is based for four nights. Groups co-ordinator Lynda Morrison says "being based in an old city location is very important for pilgrimage groups; due to its unique history and providing the ability for tour members to further explore the old city in their own time."
After visits to Bethlehem and other key biblical sites, the tour will travel north via Caesarea for a three-day visit to the Galilee region. After an overnight in Tel Aviv, the tour flies directly to Budapest for an overnight stopover, prior to boarding CroisiEurope for a five-day cruise to Passau.
The all-inclusive river cruise provides a wonderful mix of sightseeing and relaxing as the ship cruises through old cities and villages along the scenic Danube, with sightseeing included enroute. Clients disembark in Passau and travel to the Oberammergau region for a two-night stay, including a key tour highlight, attending the Oberammergau Passion Play.
Following a farewell dinner and overnight in Munich, the group will return to NZ departing on 29 September.
The share twin tour cost from $15,224 ex Auckland.
Lynda advises that there is limited availability, with one share-twin female space available and further rooms on application. Options are available to extend or amend the point of return on Emirates Airlines.
