Day 1:  Chobe National Park (D)

Welcome to Botswana. On arrival at Kasane Airport, please clear customs and immigration and collect your luggage. Proceed to the Arrival Hall where you will be met by a Ngoma Safari Lodge representation who will transfer you to your lodge (transfer time approx. 50 minutes).

Chobe National Park is situated in the far northeast of Botswana, bordered to the north by the mighty Chobe River. It is the second-largest national park in Botswana and features four distinct ecosystems: the Savuti Channel in the west; the Linyanti Swamps in the northwest; the arid hinterland in between and Serondela in the extreme northeast with fertile plains and thick forests. This diversity of habitats provides a sanctuary to an astonishing array of African wildlife, most notably the impressive, shifting migratory population of more than 50 000 elephants. Visitors are also likely to spot lions, leopards, hyenas, wild dogs, impala, waterbuck, kudu, zebra, wildebeest, giraffes, and warthog. The park is also famous for its wonderful riverboat safaris.

Day 2: Chobe National Park (BLD)

Today immerse yourself in the variety of exciting safari experiences available at Ngoma Safari Lodge. Activities include a full-day safari comprising a drive in the Chobe National Park, a cruise and a picnic lunch, day or night drives, walks and birding. Visits to the local village may also be arranged.

Day 3: Chobe National Park – Okavango Delta (BLD)

This morning you will be met by the lodge representative and transferred to Kasane Airport. Depart Kasane Airport by Mack Air shared light aircraft flight to Kiri Camp (flying time is approx. 1hr, 20mins). Upon arrival at the airstrip you will be met by a Kiri Camp representative and transferred to the camp. The remainder of the day is at leisure to experience a game viewing activity.

Situated in the northwestern corner of Botswana, the Okavango Delta is a World Heritage Site as it is the largest inland delta in the world. The magnificent Okavango River sprawls out over the dry sands of the Kalahari Desert forming this flourishing waterlogged oasis featuring countless meandering waterways and crystal-clear lagoons studded with water lilies, as well as fertile floodplains and reeded islands inhabited with abundant wildlife. The Okavango Delta stretches over an impressive 15000 square kilometres providing several wonderful activities such as game viewing, fishing, bird watching or taking an authentic guided Mokoro excursion through this wetland paradise in a traditional dugout canoe. Commonly spotted animals include lion, rhino, leopard, giraffe, hippos, elephants, crocodiles and countless bird species.

Day 4 & Day 5: Okavango Delta (BLD)

Two days to experience the game viewing activities on offer at Kiri Camp.

Kiri Camp offers a combination of both game drives and water activities. Based on a private concession, these activities will take you to some of the more remote areas in the delta, previously inaccessible. A motorboat ride during peak flood times promises to enthral you and captivate you, with the chance of seeing iconic wildlife from the river. Glide on quiet mokoro’s (water dependent) through the water lilies and view wildlife from below as you sail along at water level height. The wildlife in the Kiri area is diverse and plentiful, renowned for its lion and buffalo interactions and rare wild dog numbers.

Day 6: Okavango Delta – Khwai Private Reserve (BLD)

This morning you will be met by the lodge representative and transferred to the airstrip. Depart Kiri Camp by Mack Air shared light aircraft flight to Tuludi. Upon arrival at the airstrip, you are met by a Tuludi representative and transferred to the camp. Remainder of the day free to experience a game viewing activity.

Welcome to Khwai Private Reserve, 440 000 acres bordering onto both the Moremi Game Reserve and Chobe National Park in northern Botswana. It is an innovative community based joint venture partnership that adjoins onto the world-famous Okavango Delta eco-system. The Reserve was established to create a meaningful bridge between the tourism industry and local villagers, ensuring significant economic income for local communities, first world environmentally sensitive practices and a superb safari experience. The massive Khwai Private Reserve comprises of some of the most fantastically diverse habitats in northern Botswana, including riverine woodlands, floodplains, open savannah, mopane woodland, rivers and lagoons. This range of habitats results in a range of wildlife, including elephant, lion, leopard, wild dog, cheetah and of course the eponymous sable antelope.

Day 7 & Day 8: Khwai Private Reserve (BLD)

Two days to experience the game viewing activities on offer at Khwai Private Reserve. Discover the very best of the Okavango Delta on game drives, walking safaris, and fantastic water-based activities.

The floodplains surrounding Tuludi are more than just visually stunning—they provide an ideal habitat for large herds of elephants and buffalo that roam freely through the open grasslands. While the Khwai River is the primary water source in the region, a network of winding waterways extends across the plains, drawing in wildlife from all directions. Zebra, giraffe, antelope, and a variety of other plains game are a common sight.

However, it’s the predators that truly command attention here. The density of lions, leopards, and cheetahs in the area is exceptional, offering an opportunity for thrilling sightings. As evening approaches, watch for lions on the prowl, leopards lounging in the shade, and cheetahs patrolling their territory! Remarkably diverse even by Okavango standards, the region’s rich birdlife adds another layer of magic. Look out for unique species such as the long-toed lapwing, black and slaty egrets, and wattled cranes, while the surrounding woodlands host a completely different array of avian life.

Day 9: Khwai Private Reserve – Maun International Airport (B)

This morning you will be met by the lodge representative and transferred to the airstrip. Depart Tuludi by Mack Air shared light aircraft flight to Maun International Airport (flying time approx. 35 minutes). Upon arrival at the Maun International Airport connect with your onward flight.
